The Indigenous Paramedic Program provides a structured and supportive educational pathway with the added benefits of full-time employment within the pre-hospital emergency response sector. This program offers on-the-job clinical supervision from Paramedics and additional learning support throughout the program.

The program education pathway has been tailored to accommodate various learning needs and capabilities. It provides a scaffolded program with several accreditation milestones available along the way. The QAS has partnered with the Central Queensland University to deliver a unique learning and employment opportunity. The program has been designed to equip participants with the theoretical knowledge and developed skills required to provide clinical assessment and care in the emergency pre-hospital environment.
